MARMALADE BELLINI

Have you ever tried the marmalade Bellini? A festive cocktail especially crafted for your Christmas gathering!

Christmas Magic with Marmalade Bellini

As the Christmas season approaches, my heart is filled with excitement, not just for the festivities, but also for the joy of experimenting with delightful cocktails to share with my family and friends. This year, my culinary imagination was sparked by the marmalade, a preserve that exudes the very essence of the holiday season…

Marmalade through history

Marmalade can be traced back to Greek and Roman times. The name “marmalade” comes from the Portuguese word “marmelos,” which refers to a quince paste similar in texture to an orange spread popular long before the commercialisation of marmalade in the late 18th century. Marmalade was an excellent way of providing vitamins when fresh fruit was not available, and the British used it to help prevent scurvy and other illnesses on board merchant ships.

A Toast to the Season

Growing up in France, Christmas was always a magical time, filled with family gatherings and mouthwatering feasts. I fondly remember the fragrance of freshly baked pastries, the warmth of mulled wine, and, of course, the joy of opening presents.

The Marmalade Bellini is a delightful way to toast to the season’s festivities. This cocktail combines the tangy sweetness of marmalade with the effervescence of sparkling white wine (Schlumberger or Prosecco for me).

Creating Your Own Tradition

With the Marmalade Bellini, you will enjoy an exquisite cocktail that also tells a story of the holiday season and the joy of spending time with loved ones. For me, the Marmalade Bellini is a cocktail that condenses the holiday spirit, invoking the warmth of tradition and the joy of personal connections…
