The Surprising Combination of Cod, ginger and lime in Crumble Form
The crumble I proposed to you today is a gem with cod, ginger and lime which will be, I presumed, a classic at your table very soon. This is a dish that is not only easy to prepare but is also impressively delicious. The combination of cod and lime is a match made in heaven. The succulent fish is perfectly complemented by the tangy and zesty hint of the ginger especially when topped with a crispy and buttery crumble…
Creative Ways to Present Your Cod and lime-ginger Crumble
In terms of serving suggestions, you can pair this dish with a side salad or some steamed vegetables. You can also add some freshly chopped herbs like parsley or dill to enhance the taste of the dish. I am sure this savoury crumble will become a new favourite at your dinner table.
From Chenin Blanc to Gamay
I would recommend pairing this crumble with a Sauvignon white du pays du Jardin de la France from the Loire Valley. This wine has a refreshing acidity and a crisp and clean finish that will perfectly complement the lightness of the cod and the brightness of the lime.
This Sauvignon is made from a blend of Chenin Blanc and Gamay grapes, and it has a beautiful nose that combines floral notes with a touch of elegance.
Citrus, Apple, and Floral Notes
One of the most striking aspects of this wine is its crisp and green flavour profile, which is complemented by aromas of apple blossom, tropical fruit, and honey. With its rich, medium-bodied texture and smoky mineral and juicy aromas, this wine is truly a delight to drink. It is characterised by its freshness and vivacity, with a beautiful balance of citrus, apple, and floral notes.
A Taste of the Lush and Fruitful Loire Valley
Sauvignon du pays du jardin de la France has been grown in the region since at least 1864 and is one of the main white berried grapes of the Loire Valley, along with Chenin Blanc, Melon de Bourgogne, Arbois, Chardonnay, and Folle Blanche. The Upper Loire includes the Sauvignon Blanc dominated areas of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé, and it is known for its landscape of low hills and lush gardens. The name “Jardin de la France” is derived from the abundance of vineyards, orchards, and fields of fruits and vegetables in the region.
If you’re looking for a wine that pairs well with seafood, especially my cod with a lime and ginger crumble I suggested, this is the perfect choice. So, why not treat yourself to a glass of Sauvignon lovingly named du pays du jardin de la France today and indulge in its beautiful aromas?
