Discover the Heart of French Cuisine: Brasseries
If you plan your trip to France, I highly recommend making time to visit a brasserie. These traditional pubs are dedicated to serving meals and not just drinks, and you’ll find that they offer some of the best local specialities and fresh ingredients. In nearly every corner of France, but especially in Paris, you’ll find a delicious potato salad called “salade parisienne”.
A Delicious Dressing to Complete the salade parisienne
This dish is a well-balanced mix of flavors and textures, creating a filling and satisfying meal. Ham, Emmental cheese, green beans, lettuce, and potatoes are combined with a delicious dressing to create a dish that will tantalize your taste buds. The dressing is a crucial component of the salade parisienne. It is made with Dijon mustard, extra-virgin olive oil, and a touch of balsamic vinegar to add sweetness.
This authentic French potato salad makes for a perfect lunchtime meal. After enjoying this delicious dish, you’ll be ready to tackle the rest of the day with a happy heart and satisfied appetite.
Sauvignon Blanc Reimagined: The Saint-Bris Experience
For a truly authentic culinary experience, consider pairing the salade parisienne with a Saint-Bris Sauvignon blanc from Burgundy.
As a wine connoisseur, allow me to introduce you to a hidden gem of the Burgundy region in France: Saint-Bris Sauvignon Blanc. This AOC wine is made from a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris grapes, resulting in a rich experience.
The Refreshing Taste of French Vineyards
When you take your first sip, you’ll be greeted with bursting aromas of lemon and a host of other delectable scents. The flavors of pear, green apple, and grassy notes will tantalise your taste buds, while a hint of white floral and mineral notes bring depth and complexity to the wine.
And the best part? This rich and sophisticated wine has great energy and vibrancy, leaving your palate mouth watering for more. Citrus fruits like grapefruit and mandarin mingle with white fruit aromas, before finishing with a spicy kick.
Its chalky signature and high acidity make it the perfect match for the yummy salade parisienne…
