ROCAMADOUR CHEESE AND TRUFFLE OIL CROSTINI

Rocamadour Cheese: A Culinary Gem from Perigord and Quercy

Prepare to embark on a culinary journey that marries the rustic charm of Rocamadour cheese with the luxurious essence of truffle oil.

Crafted with utmost care and pride, this goat cheese hails from the very heart of my local area. Its name, Rocamadour, pays homage to the enchanting village from which it originates : a place that beckons travellers to discover its timeless charm. Should you have the opportunity, a visit to Rocamadour is an absolute must, allowing you to experience first-hand the essence of this culinary treasure.

The Enduring Tradition of Rocamadour Cheese

Rooted in tradition, Rocamadour cheese is lovingly crafted using unpasteurized milk. This ensures that each bite of this velvety delicacy carries the essence of the land and the meticulous craftsmanship of local artisans.

Wine Pairing: Atlantique Blanc from Bordeaux

I recommend indulging in the Atlantique Blanc, a distinguished white wine from Bordeaux.

The Harmonious Symphony of Bordeaux Varieties

Atlantique Blanc, is a meticulously crafted blend of three noble grape varieties—Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and Muscadelle.

Upon first encounter, Atlantique Blanc reveals a captivating array of aromas, with delicate hints of citrus, pear, and a whisper of summer grass.

Its bone-dry nature and bracing acidity deliver the classic characteristics of lime and grass associated with Sauvignon Blanc, rendering it a refreshing and versatile companion at the table.

A Celebration of Variety and Refinement

Renowned for their remarkable variety and refinement, Bordeaux Blanc wines hold a special place in the world of oenophiles. Atlantique Blanc exemplifies this legacy with its stunning display of complexity and finesse. As the wine unfolds on the palate, initial notes of zesty lemon and grapefruit give way to subtle nuances of honey, minerality, and a touch of smokiness.

So, allow yourself to be swept away by the captivating allure of Rocamadour cheese with truffle oil crostini : an effortless elegance of easy-peasy gourmet delights…
