POUND CAKE, APPLES AND BLEU D’AUVERGNE SALAD
This is what I call a very yummy “salade gourmande” (a gourmet salad but in a greedy sense if you know what I mean;)). You have the enjoyable bite given by the pound cake, the freshness of the apples, the zingy taste of the lime and the creamy side with the bleu d’Auvergne : a very balanced sweet and sour salad in no time! You can use any butter cake obviously, but if you prefer the homemade version of the pound cake, it’s here (CLICK).
Wine pairing : Gamay (Red) from the South West.
