Miso tapenade is a unique blend of flavours that might sound unconventional, but trust me, it works! With raw vegetables and crusty bread to dip, you’ll adore this simple yet sophisticated dip. Don’t hesitate to double the proportions, as it’s a healthy addition to any pasta or rice dish.
Sharing My Secret Recipe for Miso Tapenade Success
This delectable dip is made by combining the savoury taste of miso, a staple in Japanese cuisine, with olive oil. Fermented soybean paste provides a rich and umami flavour, while olive oil contributes a smooth and silky texture. The herbs and spices in the tapenade bring a burst of freshness with each bite, making it an ideal option for an appetizer or a snack.
You can enjoy the miso tapenade dip with fresh veggies, spread it on crusty bread, or use it as a topping for your pasta dish. And, the best part? It’s quick and very easy to prepare.
Sipping on the Sunshine
The wine pairing for my very easy miso tapenade is a rosé wine from Cassis.
Nestled in the hills of the South of France, near the coastal village of Cassis and the bustling cities of Marseille and Cannes, lies the Provence wine region, the oldest wine-producing region in France. Here, the vineyards of Cassis bask in the warm Mediterranean sun, basked in clay and limestone soils and situated on gentle slopes.
Characterized by their delicate red berry aromas and a dry finish, the Cassis wines are a true representation of the Provence wine region’s heritage and expertise. Produced in twelve vineyards, ranging from six to 40 hectares, these wines offer depth, power, intensity, and fierce minerality, making them the perfect complement to seafood dishes.
From the Hills to Your Glass
Whether you prefer full-bodied whites, or charming coral pink rosés, the Cassis rosé wines offer a unique and unforgettable experience. The perfect balance of elegance and power make these wines a key for any sophisticated gathering or a relaxing evening with friends.
Pairing perfectly with a variety of dishes, from grilled fish with aioli to herb and garlic roasted vegetables, Cassis wines from Provence are versatile and delicious. Whether you are serving amatriciana pasta, artichokes barigoule, Asian dishes or salads with fruit, these wines will enhance your meal with their fresh citrus and red berry notes.
